Since 1956 my family has been involved with machine tools. I grew up in the machine shop.
We started in electrical work and machine tool control panels, eventually we moved into electronics, and machine tool CNC integration.
Working with machine tool builders and re-builders we designed and built controls for just about every type of machine tool, this background brought us into the stamping equipment business.
In the early 80 we started building Loop controls and then simple roll feeds controls for Production Products Company.
We started making out own press feeding machines a few years later.
As time went on we progressed into patterns and gags, push pull, registration, zig-zag, wig-wag, and multi strip feed systems along with many custom variations.
The goal was always the same, to build the fastest most accurate feeds you can buy.
The never relenting quest for shorter cycle times, increasing levels of accuracy, and reliability never let up.
In 2018 I decided to sell the company and was hired on for 1 year as a consultant by the buyer. (Press Room Equipment)
That company was later merged and then bought out by an even larger company.
While at Pressroom I designed a number of new feeds including a new compact zigzag feed, a new servo pilot release, finished a new straightener design, did quotations, costed jobs, and made literature, manuals and catalogs.
Since leaving Press Room I have been designing custom feeds for specialty manufactures and providing phone support for Waddington feed owners.
